چکیده
Abstract The success of fecal occult blood‐based colorectal cancer screening programs is dependent on repeating at short intervals (ie, every 1‐2 years). We conducted a literature review to assess measures that have been used longitudinal adherence fecal‐based screening. Among 46 citations identified and included in this review, six broad classifications were identified: (a) stratified single‐round attendance, (b) all possible permutations, (c) consistent/inconsistent/never (d) number times attended, (e) program (f) proportion time covered. Advantages disadvantages these are described, recommendations which use based data availability scientific question also given. Stratified single round attendance particularly useful for describing the yield screening, while programmatic best suited evaluating efficacy. recommend collect detailed longitudinal, individual‐level data, not only tests themselves but additionally diagnostic follow‐up surveillance exams, allow maximum flexibility reporting patterns using measure choice.
